Job summary

Howard Building Corporation is seeking a Senior Project Manager for fast-paced commercial interiors in Costa Mesa. You will lead budgets, scheduling, procurement, and documentation, while guiding PMs and engineers to deliver safe, profitable, high-quality projects.

You will build trusted relationships with clients, architects and subcontractors, drive preconstruction and value engineering, and ensure projects meet schedule and financial targets while developing the next generation of project

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success independently managing complex commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Strong financial, estimating, scheduling, forecasting, and contract-management skills.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and developing Project Managers and other staff.
• Ability to oversee multiple projects and teams with visibility into financials, schedule, risk, and client satisfaction.
• Proven ability to build long-term client relationships and identify new opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Own project budgets, estimating, buyout, forecasting, billings and cost control.
• Manage subcontracts, procurement, RFIs, submittals, change management and project documentation.
• Coordinate schedules with Superintendent and project team.
• Foster relationships with clients, architects, consultants, landlords and subcontractors.
• Drive preconstruction, value engineering and project planning to successful outcomes.
• Provide leadership and coaching to PMs and engineers to deliver high-quality projects.
