Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
• PE license required.
• 15 years of relevant construction inspection experience on heavy civil projects.
• Strong understanding of technical requirements for construction systems, materials and equipment.
• Strong structural concrete experience on heavy civil projects.
• Experience representing contractor and owners’ interests on site.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage project construction QA programs.
• Oversee QA testing and inspection; coordinate resources for daily/weekly QA inspection and testing.
• Provide training to ensure quality procedures through pre-activity meetings and on-site reviews.
• Ensure all QA staff have appropriate training and certification for activities overseen.
• Verify sampling/testing personnel have training and certification for materials tested.
• Maintain a Non-Conformance Report (NCR) log.
• Maintain utility relocations inspection information.
• Develop and maintain lab equipment list, calibration data, inspection dates.
• Schedule Hold Points as audits of ongoing construction work.
• Coordinate with owner QA testing/inspection and IA requirements.
