Job summary

Atlas is seeking a Construction Quality Manager to lead project-specific quality efforts on major transportation, transit, water, aviation and heavy civil projects. You will manage QA programs, oversee testing/inspection, and ensure staff training and certifications on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree plus 6 years of construction inspection experience.
• Associates Degree plus 6 years of construction inspection experience.
• Experience on heavy civil construction projects.
• Understanding of construction systems, materials and equipment.
• Strong structural concrete experience in heavy civil projects.
• Experience representing contractor/owner interests as site/ trades rep.
• Highly organized with strong analytical skills.
• Interpersonal skills with project management personnel.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a team or independently.
• Flexibility for construction observations and oversight.
• Capable of climbing ladders/scaffolding and working at heights.

Responsibilities

• Manage project construction QA programs.
• Oversee QA testing and inspection; coordinate resources for QA on a daily/weekly basis.
• Provide training to ensure quality procedures via pre-activity meetings and on-site reviews.
• Ensure QA staff have training and certification for activities overseen.
• Verify sampling/testing personnel training and certification.
• Maintain a Non-Conformance Report (NCR) log.
• Maintain utility relocations inspection information.
• Develop and maintain lab equipment, calibration data, and inspection dates.
• Schedule Hold Points as audits for the project duration.
• Coordinate with owner QA testing, inspection, and IA requirements.
