Job summary

Alta Equipment Group is seeking a Project Manager II to lead complex material handling projects from order to installation. You will drive execution, manage budgets, and collaborate with suppliers and contractors to ensure on-time delivery.

This role requires 5–10 years of PM experience, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 50%. You’ll mentor teammates, grow accounts, and help expand core capabilities while upholding Alta's culture of excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years of project management in industrial/manufacturing or distribution.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide teams and projects.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% across the US.

Responsibilities

• Manage short and long term operational and tactical aspects of multiple projects.
• Meet or exceed Gross Profit goals through supplier and contractor management.
• Oversee installation contractors to ensure on-time, profitable execution.
• Mitigate project risks and manage scope.
• Maintain clear customer communications with regular updates.
• Collaborate with Sales to penetrate client accounts and manage add-ons.
• Assist design/configuration of static equipment and systems.
