Job summary

GH Engage, a premier NYC builder, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead luxury interior projects from preconstruction to closeout. You will own schedule, budget, and quality, driving long-lead procurement, custom fabrication, and finish sequencing in collaboration with top architects and ownership groups.

You will mentor APMs and Superintendents, manage subcontractors, and ensure flawless client-facing communication throughout the project lifecycle in a design-forward environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of PM experience with GC/CM/architectural or engineering firms.
• Track record delivering luxury commercial interiors and finish-intensive fit-outs.
• Command of high-end finishes: millwork, lighting, metals, stone, glass.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, cost control, procurement, scheduling, and contracts.
• Proficiency in MS Project and/or Primavera P6, Procore, and MS Office.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience; sharp attention to detail and client-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects end to end as the primary owner of schedule, budget, and quality.
• Build and drive detailed schedules focusing on long-lead procurement and finishes.
• Direct buyouts, subcontracts, procurement, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Own procurement of long-lead and custom materials (millwork, stone, metals, lighting).
• Run QA/QC and quality walks with architects, designers, and ownership.
• Manage mock-ups, finish approvals, and sample installations.
• Handle monthly billings, pay apps, and subcontractor invoices.
• Partner with Superintendent on field coordination and sequencing; mentor junior staff.

This is a seat for a PM who measures success in the quality of the reveal, not just dollars and days, and who takes real pride in craftsmanship that lasts.

What you’ll do

• Lead projects from preconstruction through final turnover as the primary owner of schedule, budget, and quality
• Build and drive detailed schedules in MS Project or Primavera P6, focused on long-lead procurement, custom fabrication, mock-ups, and finish sequencing
• Direct buyout, subcontracts, procurement, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
• Own procurement of long-lead and custom materials (millwork, decorative metals, stone, specialty lighting, architectural finishes, owner-furnished equipment)
• Run rigorous QA/QC and quality walks with architects, designers, and ownership, catching issues before the client ever sees them
• Manage mock-up reviews, finish approvals, and sample installations
• Handle monthly billings, pay apps, and subcontractor invoice approvals
• Partner daily with your Superintendent on field coordination, logistics, and sequencing
• Mentor APMs and Superintendents, and raise the bar for the whole team

What you bring

• 7+ years of PM experience with a GC, CM, architecture, or engineering firm
• A track record delivering luxury commercial interiors, executive offices, hospitality, or similarly finish-intensive fit-outs
• Command of high-end finishes: custom millwork, specialty lighting, decorative metals, stone, and glass systems
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, cost control, procurement, scheduling, and contract management
• Proficiency in MS Project and/or Primavera P6, Procore, and MS Office
• Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Design, Business, or related (equivalent experience considered)
