Job summary

McMillen, Inc. designs and builds solutions for water resources and infrastructure, seeking a Project Manager - Heavy Civil Construction.

The role requires leading mid to large-scale heavy civil projects from design through execution, with travel to sites in the Southern Central states. You will coordinate with the Construction Operations Manager, supervise staff, and ensure safety and quality across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CM or related field or minimum of 5 years comparable experience.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience with heavy civil design-build projects managing all aspects from design, approvals, procurement, construction, and implementation.
• Regular, predictable attendance is required.
• Ability to get along and work effectively with others.

Responsibilities

• Manage mid to large scale projects with moderate to high risk levels.
• Oversee multiple construction projects in varying stages of completion.
• Coordinate with operations to assure project performance aligns with goals.
• Implement safety policy on all projects assigned.
• Mentor and guide Assistant Project Managers and engineers.
• Prepare budgets, work plans, and cost tracking reports.
• Plan, organize, and direct construction activities and methods.
• Review and negotiate contracts with architects, consultants, and clients.
• Ensure permits and licenses are obtained and compliance is met.
