Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a hands-on Senior Project Manager for ground-up commercial construction in Texas. You will oversee all phases from preconstruction to closeout, manage schedules, budgets, and teams, and coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to meet project goals.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in commercial construction PM, strong budgeting and scheduling skills, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in commercial construction project management.
• Experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and cost control.
• Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and multiple project stakeholders.
• Ability to independently manage projects from inception through completion.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of commercial construction projects from preconstruction to closeout.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, cost controls and overall performance.
• Lead and coordinate project teams including engineers, PMs, supers, subcontractors and vendors.
• Review plans and contracts to identify issues and ensure requirements are met.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiations, buyout and performance.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers and other stakeholders.
• Monitor progress and resolve scheduling, budget and construction-related challenges.
• Oversee change orders, RFIs, submittals, pay apps and project docs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, quality requirements and policies.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular project updates.
• Drive projects to successful completion with high quality and client satisfaction.
