Job summary

Ascendion seeks a hands-on Senior Project Manager to lead ground-up commercial construction in Texas. You will own projects from inception to closeout, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate diverse teams including project engineers, superintendents, and subcontractors.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in commercial PM, experience with ground-up projects, and a Bachelor’s in Construction Management or related field. K-12 and multifamily experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in commercial construction project management.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of commercial construction projects from preconstruction and budgeting through final completion and closeout.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, cost controls, and overall project performance.
• Lead and coordinate project teams including Project Engineers, Assistant PMs, Superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Review plans, specifications, contracts, and construction documents to identify issues and ensure requirements are met.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, contract negotiations, buyout, and ongoing performance.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor progress and resolve scheduling, budget, and construction challenges.
• Oversee change orders, RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and project documentation.
• Ensure projects comply with safety standards, building codes, quality requirements, and company policies.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular updates.
• Drive projects toward successful completion with high standards of quality and client satisfaction.
