The role blends project management with office leadership responsibilities. The selected candidate will hire, train, mentor, and develop staff, oversee proposals, invoicing, budgets, and profitability, and cultivate client relationships.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in construction observation and materials testing.
• Extensive experience with construction materials testing and/or observation.
• Experience with testing and inspection of soils, concrete, asphalt, aggregates, and structural steel.
• Experience preparing and/or reviewing field and final reports.
• NICET, WACEL, ICC, and/or ACI certifications preferred.
• Experience coordinating and managing COT/CMT projects.
• Experience supervising, mentoring, and developing technical staff.
• Experience developing and maintaining client relationships and identifying new business opportunities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage current staff and projects in the DC office, leading growth.
• Lead office operations: proposal preparation and review, invoicing, budgeting, collections, and profitability.
• Hire, train, mentor, and develop staff to support project delivery.
• Maintain and grow client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Provide project leadership with emphasis on quality, safety, and schedule adherence.
