Job summary

Pavion is seeking a talented and motivated Project Manager to join our fire systems business unit in New York. You will supervise all facets of JFK project activity, coordinate between the electrical contractor and general contractor, manage change orders, and ensure accurate revenue recognition through careful scheduling and oversight.

Applicants should have at least 10 years of experience in large-scale project management, knowledge of NYC FD code requirements, and a valid driver license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience managing large projects
• Knowledge of NYC FD code requirements
• Must hold a valid driver's license
• NYCFD S-98 certification is preferred/required

Responsibilities

• Supervise all facets of the JFK job including Terminals 1 & 6
• Scheduling, Liaison between EC and GC, Applicable Change Orders, Percentage of Completion (Revenue Recognition)
• Perform pre-sales or post-award engineering assessments to provide our sales force with the most cost-effective solution for both material and labor
• Prepare submittals and permitting documents as well as O&M Manuals and As-Builts upon job completion
• Communicating with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with their goals
• Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
• Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
• Management and logistical support of multiple ongoing projects
• Manpower coordination/Sub-contractor management
• Permitting and inspection coordination with AHJ
