Carolina Metal Fabricators / Basic Machinery Company in Raleigh, NC seeks a Project Manager/Estimator to lead structural and miscellaneous steel projects. You will drive take-offs, manage full lifecycle fabrication projects, and optimize shop floor efficiency in a growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of project management experience in metal fabrication, structural steel, or miscellaneous metals.
• Minimum 2 years of estimating experience within industrial metal fabrication or structural steel industries.
• Experience using Bluebeam Revu for take-offs and plan reviews.
• Knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and OSHA regulations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate material, labor, and equipment take-offs to compile competitive project estimates.
• Manage full lifecycle industrial metal fabrication projects to deliver on time, in scope, and within budget.
• Program CNC-controlled machinery and generate precise cut lists to support shop fabrication.
• Purchase required materials and manage specialized subcontracts necessary to complete project scopes.
• Maintain accurate drawing, RFI, and change order logs to ensure seamless operational continuity.
• Direct cross-functional teams and maintain clear daily communication with clients and shop staff.
