Job summary

AVL USA INC in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee engineering, purchasing, quality, production and shipping to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of projects. You will coordinate with multiple departments and lead meetings from kickoff to project health reviews.

The role requires 7+ years in manufacturing project planning, strong leadership, PMP certification preferred, and frequent collaboration with internal teams. Travel across North America may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration required.
• 7+ years of planning and/or management experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate all aspects of multiple projects simultaneously by coordinating engineering, purchasing, quality, and production teams.
• Host and facilitate project meetings including Sales Handover, Kickoff, and Project Health Meetings.
• Collaborate with other Project Managers to ensure consistency in execution and delivery of company commitments.
• Act as the main client liaison for project status, issue resolution, and change requests.
• Develop and maintain detailed work plans, schedules, risk reports, cost projections, and issue logs.
• Communicate project status to Management using established reporting methods.
• Coordinate documentation and ensure secure storage for all project artifacts.
• Provide technical support to customers via field visits and design reviews.
• Lead change management processes and communicate changes to affected departments and clients.
• Manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and ensure materials are released in time.
