Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation in Florida is seeking a Lead Project Manager IV to oversee large, complex capital projects and programs with a focus on natural gas pipelines exceeding $200M. This senior role provides governance, mentorship, and strategic guidance to project teams and executives.

You will establish best practices, support standards, and act as a trusted advisor on execution strategies, performance, and risk management within a hybrid Florida work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of progressively responsible project management experience.
• Experience leading Natural Gas Pipeline projects in excess of $200M.
• PMP certification, Graduate Degree, or advanced experience leading complex pipeline projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of major capital projects and strategic initiatives, focus on natural gas pipelines >$200M.
• Provide oversight and guidance for multiple project managers and teams.
• Develop and implement project delivery strategies and governance frameworks.
• Review project performance, forecasts, and recovery plans.
• Lead executive project reviews and steering committee meetings.
• Drive project risk management and resolution of strategic issues.
• Ensure alignment between project objectives and organizational goals.
• Establish and promote project management standards and best practices.
• Mentor and develop project management personnel.
• Support portfolio planning, capital allocation, and prioritization decisions.
• Evaluate organizational project management maturity and suggest improvements.
• Assist the Manager, Project Management with workforce planning.
