Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Earth and Environment Project Management group in the Western United States. The role can be based in Redmond, WA or Anchorage, AK and involves leading multi-discipline teams on earth and environment projects from site characterization to design.

You will manage budgets, schedules, risk, and client satisfaction while collaborating with technical managers across the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, environmental, business or related field.
• 5–7+ years of post-education work experience.
• 5+ years in environmental/mining consulting industry.
• Experience with private sector clients including mining, environmental, manufacturing, power, aggregates, and/or water.
• Experience with project financial tracking and change management.
• Understanding of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMI).
• Experience identifying and mitigating project risks and developing risk registers.
• Expertise in project planning, tracking and analysis (e.g., MS Excel).
• Highly organized, adaptable, a developing leader, and calm under pressure.
• Experience in managing multi-discipline teams.
• Proven focus on managing clients and subcontractors.
• Experience in MS Project and/or P6 Primavera.
• Commitment to workplace safety and policies.
• Ability to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Manage budgets, scope, schedules, resourcing and client satisfaction while coordinating with WSP teams across the United States.
• Ensure team members understand scope and objectives to coordinate activities effectively.
• Use project management tools and best practices to plan and manage projects meeting stakeholder expectations.
• Maintain strong client-facing communication, ethics and integrity.
• Be action-orientated, resourceful and accountable for self and others.
