The Senior Project Manager, Dangerous Goods (DG) Regulatory Engagement is a DG subject matter expert (SME) responsible for planning, coordinating and engaging with regulatory bodies and industry to influence DG regulations. This role leverages partnerships within North America (NA) and WW (world-wide) to improve, enhance, and innovate DG transport through the use of technology and data, using safety as the key driver to reduce the risk.
Key job responsibilities
This role works cross-functional within an international environment to transform internal Amazon processes through the use of continuous improvement and lessons learned to advance DG Operations (DG Ops), classification, training, selling partner education and outreach, and partnership with each of our carriers. Working in close coordination with the DG Ops and Amazon Classification teams, this role will assist in gaining additional operational efficiencies, including supporting business expansion/growth, through regulatory and strategic engagement with each of the regulatory bodies who oversee Amazon Fulfillment Network (AFN) and other businesses under the Amazon corporate umbrella (such as: Kuiper (Satellites), MGM / Prime Video (Movie / TV Production, PillPack (Pharmacy), Zoox (Self-Driving Taxis), One Medical (Urgent / Elder Care Services), etc.).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
