ABB is seeking a Project Manager for the Motion - High Power Division in the USA. The hybrid role in New Berlin, WI manages medium-size industrial projects, leading teams, planning, budgeting, and risk management to meet contract deliverables.

You will coordinate internal and external resources, monitor finances, and drive contract close-out with customers. Preferred candidates have PMP certification and 8+ years in project management, with SAP/ERP experience and electrical engineering

Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by leading the project team members to achieve project requirements, deliver contracted deliverables, and meet the committed project result.The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid in New Berlin, WI.This role is contributing to the Motion - High Power Division in the USA.You will be mainly accountable for:Leading the project team, establishing the project execution approach, and overseeing planning, monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.Monitoring and controlling project progress, efficient resource utilization, and project financials.Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, managing project risk, and ensuring all opportunities are identified and pursued.Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract.Your role and responsibilities:Take commercial and technical responsibility for your projects and manage effectively by structuring, planning, budgeting, and execution from delivery until end of warrantyEnsures that the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies. Effectively monitors and controls project progress and efficient resource utilization. Monitors and controls project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow. Identifies, qualifies, quantifies, and manages project risks, and ensures that all opportunities are identified and pursued. Captures, analyzes, and shares lessons learned throughout the project. Ensures that the project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed. Drives the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and its acknowledgement by the customer.Acts as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues.
