Job summary

ABB is seeking an entry-level Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to support engineering activities in project sizes and complexities. You will perform survey work, computations, basic design tasks, and assist customers on technical issues under supervision of senior engineers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CAD proficiency (AutoCAD, Creo/SolidWorks), and familiarity with Windchill/SAP. Onsite work in the US, with a collaborative, global environment and dedicated workshops and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 0–2 years of experience for entry-level candidates.
  • Experience with low complexity orders and mechanical designs.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD or equivalent CAD tools.
  • Experience with 3D design using Creo or SolidWorks.
  • Familiar with MS Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, SAP, Windchill.
  • Know mechanical design principles; strong interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with creativity; independent thinking and detail-oriented.
  • Authorized to work in the US; able to operate in a global environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform survey work, standard computations, analysis, and basic design tasks.
  • Prepare project documentation within scope of deliverables.
  • Assist customers on technical issues and interact with stakeholders.
  • Support communications for assignments and meetings.
  • Participate in workshops related to engineering design, tools, and processes.
