Job summary

ABB Smart Power is seeking a Senior Project Manager in a hybrid Richmond, VA role. You will work with Project Managers to coordinate high-demand data center projects nationwide, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and our operating model.

Responsibilities include resource alignment, admin tasks, service-case creation, and continual communication with stakeholders. CAPM or PMP preferred; 2+ years in project support in electrical/service contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience considered.
• Proficiency with MS Office and project management tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate high-demand projects across US data centers.
• Align field resources with project schedules and budgets.
• Handle administrative tasks, documentation, and follow-up via email/SharePoint.
• Create and track service cases, purchase requisitions, and stakeholder updates.

Each day, you will support execution of project activities. You will also showcase your expertise by helping ensuring on-time delivery within project budget and our operating model.The work model for the role is: #LI - hybrid in Richmond, VA.This role is contributing to the ABB Smart Power team within our Electrification Service division.You will be mainly accountable for:• Aligning field resources in accordance with schedules provided by project managers.• Supporting coordination of various administrative tasks, ensuring proper documentation and follow up are provided via email, SharePoint, and Project Management software.• Creating and maintaining service cases ensuring administrative information is complete and up to date.• Creating and following up on purchase requisitions.• Maintaining timely communications with all project stakeholders (HSE, Service, PM, etc), ensuring proactive up-to-date engagement across all assigned projects.• Troubleshooting and resolving coordination and/or administrative concerns.• Acting as key interface between Projects and Service (internal and external) teams.Qualifications for this role• Bachelor's Degree preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
