AFRY USA in Birmingham, Alabama, is seeking a Project Manager II to lead complex, cross-functional projects with scope, budget, and schedule accountability. You will represent AFRY in client meetings, manage resources, and drive risk mitigation to ensure successful outcomes.

The role requires deep knowledge of project management, strong leadership and communication, and a background in engineering or architecture. PMP certification is preferred; travel may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or architectural discipline.
• 5+ years of engineering project management experience with 2–7 years leading projects.
• Experience with project accounting, estimating, and scheduling.
• Professional engineering or architectural registration preferred.
• PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex cross-functional projects defining scope, budget, and schedule.
• Manage projects per AFRY US LLC procedures and the contractual agreement with the client.
• Coordinate meetings with clients and internal teams, with authority to speak for the company.
• Prepare monthly project reports and earned value reports.
• Assist in proposals and qualification materials.
