Job summary

AFRY USA is seeking a Project Manager II to lead complex cross‑functional projects, define scope, manage budgets, resources and schedules, and mitigate risk to ensure stakeholder satisfaction.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and financial acumen, with an engineering or architectural background; PMP is preferred. Opportunities to work with diverse teams and global clients in chemical, pulp & paper, mining, and metals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or architectural discipline or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• 5 years of engineering experience with 2–7 years of project management experience.
• Familiarity with project accounting, estimating, and scheduling procedures and systems is preferred.
• Professional registration as an engineer or architect is preferred.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for client presentations.

Responsibilities

• Develop written project plans to establish the project charter, scope of work, cost, and schedule.
• Manage the project in accordance with AFRY USA LLC procedures and the client contract.
• Ensure compliance with scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
• Serve as client liaison, including meetings with authority to speak for the company.
• Supervise project engineers, discipline engineers, other staff, and procurement teams.
• Monitor project status and inform AFRY management of scope, schedule, budget, and financial performance.
• Participate in contract change negotiations with the client.
• Prepare project monthly reports and earned value and resource loading plans.
