Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. in Virginia is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead validated environment and laboratory construction projects across multiple sites, ensuring IQ/OQ/PQ, data integrity, and regulatory readiness.

You will coordinate Owners, Architects, Engineers, QA/Validation, Contractors, and Vendors, manage scope, schedule, and budget baselines, and drive improvements in validation workflows while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (construction/engineering)
• 5–10 years of direct PM experience on large capital projects
• Experience delivering validated environments (GMP/GLP/ISO 17025) in labs/biopharma/medical devices
• Understanding of contract language, project accounting, and portfolio management
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder influencing skills
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams in regulated contexts
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office; dashboard creation
• Willingness to travel across multiple sites

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, monitor, and close validated environment projects across sites
• Coordinate Owners, Architects, Engineers, QA/Validation, Contractors, Vendors
• Define and maintain scope, schedule, and budget baselines
• Develop validation strategies and documentation aligned with policy
• Identify and mitigate project risks impacting deliverables or compliance
• Track and report project performance to executives
• Manage change orders, procurement, and contracts
• Maintain documentation logs and QA/regulatory records
• Drive improvements in validation workflows and data integrity
• Build relationships with sponsors and stakeholders
• Oversee vendor/subcontractor performance and project finances
• Prepare teams for regulatory inspections and audits
• Foster safe, compliant project environments
