Job summary

Volumetric Building Companies (VBC) seeks a seasoned Project Manager for its U.S. Project Delivery Team.

You’ll lead development and execution from design through manufacturing, coordinating across internal departments to turn concepts into reality, while managing scope, schedule, and cost. This role targets leaders with AEC/manufacturing experience, strong communication, and a track record of building long-term client relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or related field with relevant project management experience.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams from design through delivery.
• Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, and client/subconsultant contracts.
• Ability to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with reading, interpreting, and commenting on large project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Executive with client communications and act as main liaison between VBC and client teams.
• Demonstrate understanding of contract terms and manage relationships per contract.
• Responsible for final project handover to client with proper documentation.
• Lead project teams through design and execution; make or facilitate all project-level decisions.
• Manage submittals and approvals internally and externally; schedule and lead meetings.
• Manage detailed project schedules, including full lifecycle and short-term lookaheads.
• Facilitate change management, monitor progress, and manage RFI flow across stakeholders.
• Develop budget tracking from detailed design through manufacturing and delivery; review invoices and POs.
• Report project health: budget, schedule, design progress, procurement, manufacturing execution.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (BD, preconstruction) during design to finalize manufacturing contract.
• Track procurement progress and ensure material availability; review quality assessments.
• Ensure shipping and set plan execution in collaboration with logistics.
• Mentor junior PMs and drive process improvements across teams.
