Senior Manager, Projects
Directs senior-level project management services on assigned JLL client projects/regions/practices, providing superior client service.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute project-specific and client-driven goals, schedules, budgets, strategies, and detailed assumptions with methodology for accomplishing and managing goals and objectives.
- Establish and maintain project goals and success criteria that meet both JLL and client needs.
- Build and maintain rapport with client representatives, ensuring full understanding of project scopes, outside business influences, deliverables, performance standards, and relevant criteria.
- Coordinate due diligence efforts on behalf of the internal team, project partners, clients, and/or end users, maintaining all appropriate documentation.
- Develop a detailed project budget based on historical and market data with clearly defined assumptions.
- Act as the primary senior-level contact with the client throughout the project duration.
- Guide the client and team through the design implementation process, including conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documentation and signoff.
- Develop and maintain Master Project Schedules to ensure project completion within planned timeframes.
- Prepare RFPs for vendor and contractor services and manage the contractor and vendor selection process.
- Develop procedures for distribution, receipt, opening, leveling, and awarding of projects and services.
- Facilitate initiation of critical project meetings and coordination exercises with internal staff, stakeholders, and external users for clear communication of responsibilities.
- Manage project performance against schedules, milestones, and critical path items across multiple projects.
- Manage vendor and project team performance to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and client expectations.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate areas of concern regarding potential liabilities and risks, reporting to Management Committee and Region Manager.
- Contribute to the refinement of best practices and standards of excellence for the business unit and JLL overall.
- Assist in training and developing team members in firm procedures, methodology, and practices for successful project implementation.
- Ensure Team Lead is fully informed of all project, internal, and client issues affecting the firm's reputation.
- Assist the local PDS team in meeting AGM targets regionally and nationally.
- Directly responsible for enhancing team revenues through maintaining and expanding client relationships and developing new ones.
- Communicate available products and service offerings; contribute to new product and service development.
- Maintain account receivables at levels consistent with planned working capital charges.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- 2-5 years of experience as a Project Manager or similar role.
- Ability to communicate analyzed data effectively to achieve project goals.
- Strong knowledge of architectural drawings, furniture, and space planning concepts.
- Highly organized with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with executive-level clients and team members.
- Ability to manage all aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, submittals, and change orders.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and MS Project.
- Some knowledge of EV chargers, including specs, code, electrical requirements, and lead times, is preferred.
