Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an experienced project manager to lead complex engineering/construction initiatives in the United States. You will establish project definitions, schedules, budgets, and manage risks, costs and client communications to deliver on time and within scope.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 7 years of related experience; PMI/ CCM/ DBIA certification is required within 12 months. Travel up to 40% may be necessary. This is a dynamic opportunity with CDM Smith.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with related project management experience.
• 7 years of related experience and PMI/ CCM/ DBIA certification within 12 months.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules and budgets with objectives.
• Gains concurrence from stakeholders for project aspects.
• Assesses project risks and outlines mitigation solutions.
• Ensures adherence to policies and practices.
• Manages project costs and profitability.
• Identifies residual risk and communicates accordingly.
• Prepares client billings and ensures timely payments.
• Reviews subcontractor/vendor invoices for timely payment.
• Monitors project status and risks; escalates as needed.
• Coordinates staffing and outside resources; procurement processes follow.
• Communicates deadlines and objectives to team; provides direction.
• Coaches staff and provides performance feedback to management.
• Builds and maintains client relationships; ensures client satisfaction.
• Identifies opportunities for change orders and repeat business.
