Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Manager in the United States to lead large capital programs from planning through execution. You will coordinate engineers, contractors and vendors, develop schedules and budgets, and ensure profitability while meeting client objectives and compliance.

You will present to Owner staff and executives, manage risk and change, oversee billing, payments, and subcontractor invoices, and mentor project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• 13 years of related experience.
• PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification required within 12 months of hire.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Applies industry experience to implement large capital programs to meet Owner objectives.
• Interacts with Owner executives for presentations and communications.
• Develops and drives client strategy for the Owner.
• Oversees technical reviews of engineering and contractors to meet cost criteria.
• Creates project definitions, schedules and budgets.
• Prepares statements of work and gains concurrence from stakeholders.
• Manages project costs and profitability.
• Monitors risks and implements mitigation.
• Manages changes and staffing across projects.
• Ensures timely client billing and investigates overdue invoices.
• Reviews and approves subcontractor/vendor invoices for timely payments.
• Guides team members and staff on project execution.
• Builds strong client relationships and ensures client satisfaction.
• Identifies opportunities for change orders and repeat business.
• Supports scoping and costing for potential new work.
