Job summary

Kirlin Way Mechanical in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Project Manager who oversees commercial HVAC and plumbing projects. This role requires a strong construction background and hands-on leadership to drive schedules, submittals, and field coordination across estimators, BIM, and suppliers.

You will conduct kickoff meetings, monitor safety, manage billing and change proposals, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring on-time, on-budget project delivery for multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Must have commercial HVAC mechanical experience.
• Must have construction background.
• Oversee day-to-day operations for assigned projects.
• Lead kickoff meetings with field and shop management.
• Coordinate with estimators and operations.
• Prepare submittals, logs, and change proposals.
• Manage billing and pay applications; approve vendor invoices.
• Monitor safety with the field superintendent and Safety Director.
• Mentor and train project engineers.
• Attend project reviews and bi-weekly meetings as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day operations for assigned projects.
• Attend turnover meetings between Estimating and Operations.
• Schedule and conduct kick-off meetings; review scope and details.
• Meet with drafting, project engineers, and subcontractors to stay on schedule.
• Draft CPs, log them, and update weekly.
• Complete submittal processes including control logs.
• Provide monthly billings and pay apps; monitor collections.
• Monitor site progress with field superintendent and scheduler.
• Ensure safety on site with Safety Director and field team.
• Support BIM department to align drafting schedules.
