Senior Project Manager - Commercial Construction

Our client is a highly respected full-service General Contractor known for excellent customer service, quality workmanship, and a strong company culture. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, and management of large, complex projects or multiple projects.

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Meet financial, schedule, and quality benchmarks, as well as client goals.
  2. Provide leadership, develop staff, and act as a liaison to owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  3. Participate in planning project budgets and RFP packages (if applicable).
  4. Oversee job site safety and quality control.
  5. Coordinate with the Superintendent and site team on scheduling, sub-coordination, and material delivery.
  6. Prepare and update the master schedule as required.
  7. Establish and communicate job processes, including RFIs, RCOs, owner invoices, and obtain approvals prior to submission.
  8. Conduct project meetings and Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings.
  9. Prepare owner and miscellaneous invoices, including retention management.
  10. Update cost reports timely and attend financial operations meetings.
  11. Manage project close-out efficiently, including final punchlist preparation.
  12. Supervise project team and provide training to assistant PMs, project engineers, and project administrators, including employee reviews and in-house training programs.

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 10+ years of experience in managing all divisions of ground-up commercial projects.
  2. 2+ years of experience managing projects exceeding $10M.
  3. Experience running multiple projects simultaneously.
  4. Working knowledge of estimating, subcontracting, scope, risk management, scheduling, and change orders.
  5. Understanding of project accounting and ability to manage cost reports.
  6. Leadership skills with a passion for training and helping team members reach their potential.
  7. Commitment to excellence and integrity.
  8. Relationship-driven approach with colleagues, owners, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
