This role operates as a sole practitioner (owner’s representative) responsible for delivering projects

cradle-to-grave with full accountability for scope, cost, schedule, and execution quality.

In addition to the Hyderabad program as the primary assignment, the Senior Project Manager may be responsible for managing up to three concurrent projects of smaller scope, depending on phase, complexity, and business priorities.

The role operates within a matrixed environment and requires high collaboration with Global

Procurement, Workplace Strategy & Planning, Engineering, IT, Security, and Legal, while leading external consultants, contractors, and vendors to successful delivery.

Responsibilities:
End-to-End Project Ownership
  • Lead full lifecycle delivery (initiation through closeout) as the owner’s representative.
  • Direct and manage external design teams, contractors, and vendors throughout all phases of delivery.
  • Drive scope definition, basis of design, procurement strategy coordination, construction administration, commissioning/turnover, and closeout.
Scheduling & Controls
  • Develop, manage, and report owner-side project schedules in Microsoft Project.
  • Maintain critical path, dependencies, milestones, and schedule risk/variance analysis.
  • Establish and maintain practical project controls aligned to the delivery model (design-bid-build, design-build, CM, turnkey, etc.).
  • Own project budgets, forecasting, and cash flow projections; track commitments and actuals.
  • Lead change control and cost validation; provide clear financial reporting to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate procurement strategy and contracting actions with Global Procurement and Legal.
International Project Delivery
  • Lead execution of projects across international jurisdictions with regional partners and vendors.
  • Navigate local regulatory and cultural considerations while ensuring alignment with global standards.
  • Support delivery planning and execution readiness for phased overseas programs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Demonstrate strong ability to influence and align stakeholders in a large, matrixed corporate environment.
  • Cross-collaborate with Legal, Global Procurement, Workplace Strategy & Planning, Engineering, IT/AV, Security, EH&S, Facilities Operations, and end users.
  • Drive decision-making, escalation, and issue resolution while maintaining stakeholder alignment.
Operating Model
  • Sole practitioner role (no direct reports) expected to run projects cradle-to-grave with limited internal controls support.
  • Supported by Global Procurement, Workplace Strategy & Planning (finishes/logistics), Security, IT, and Engineering.
  • Portfolio expectations may include Hyderabad as primary plus up to three smaller concurrent projects
Requirements:
  • 15-20 years of capital project delivery experience (minimum 15 years).
  • Proven owner-side / owner’s representative experience (not consultant/GC-only).

  • At least two cradle-to-grave projects in large corporate environments with demonstrable crossfunctional collaboration.
  • Advanced proficiency developing and managing schedules and controls in Microsoft Project.
  • Advanced Excel capability for project financial tracking, forecasting, reporting, and analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with executive-level reporting capability.
  • Ability to meet work model requirements: 4 days/week in-office when not traveling; international travel minimum monthly once construction begins.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Laboratory life sciences project experience.
  • Familiarity with Unifier or similar enterprise project delivery systems.
  • Adaptable and proficient with AI-enabled tools to improve reporting, documentation, and workflow efficiency.
