Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. in California is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Business Development, to lead project teams from qualification through closeout on on-site or in-office work. Travel varies with project timelines and strategic opportunities in commercial, utility, and data-center markets.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and communications, mentor staff, and ensure safe, profitable delivery of electrical construction projects while aligning with CEI’s values and growth goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required;Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or similar preferred.
• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree.
• 2 years of managing professional staff and 5+ years in project management leadership in electrical construction or related activities.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; this position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects and project teams from qualification through estimate, pre-construction, mobilization, execution, and closeout.
• Collaborate with Superintendent and field team to meet contractual obligations safely and within budgets/timeframes.
• Define team structure, roles, and communication expectations to ensure efficient work progression.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and development for team members while ensuring profitability of projects.
