As a Senior Project Manager, you will:

Provide Project Leadership
  1. Provide project leadership in managing large complex aviation projects.
  2. Lead all phases of the project process with a high level of proficiency and expertise, while adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, execution, and living design.
  3. Full responsibility for managing all aspects of projects to ensure efficient execution within scope and budget.
  4. Manage project teams, foster collaboration, demonstrate strong and effective communication and direction which inspires high team performance, creative design ideas, and successful project delivery.
  5. Lead effort in developing and validating project scope, fee, budget, services during the marketing and contract development process.
  6. Assist in contract negotiations.
  7. Develop project work plans.
  8. Accountable for complete and timely communication of project information to and from clients and project team.
  9. Responsible for managing projects using the Deltek Project Management system; complete work plans in Deltek, including identification of project team members, consultants, schedule for completion, fees, and costs.
  10. Understanding and experience in project change management, risk management, and ability to act on the assigned project.
  11. Work with Sr. Project Architect and design team to maintain schedule and budget in a manner profitable to the firm.
  12. Provide on-going communication through team meetings, minutes, and memos to project team.
  13. Monitor construction administration during the construction phase.
  14. Understand and respond to technical implications and design decisions.
Bring Management Expertise
  1. Oversee construction administration duties (e.g., RFI’s, RFP’s, change orders, etc.).
  2. Oversee applicable agency review analysis (accessibility, zoning, life-safety, etc.).
  3. Oversee budget, task schedule, and other components of the work plan with Sr. Project Architect.
  4. Direct, organize, and mentor junior staff with responsibility and oversight.
Maintain Positive Relationships with Clients and Consultants
  1. Communicate with clients, consultants, contractors, sub-consultants, and other disciplines to ensure effective communication.
  2. Participate in marketing efforts and may lead presentations to prospective clients.

REQUIREMENTS

To join us, you should have:

  1. A professional degree in Architecture, Design, or related discipline.
  2. 13+ years of experience including aviation-specific experience.
  3. Ability to review and comment on 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software, including Revit.
  4. LEED GA or AP accreditation within 6 months of hire.
  5. PMP designation is a plus.
  6. Licensure required.
  7. Understanding of terminal programming and planning.
  8. Experience in managing contracts for large complex aviation projects—experience on $200M construction valued projects is a plus.
  9. Understanding of airport and airline client relationships.
  10. Understanding of FAA rules and regulations.
  11. Experience delivering Design-Build projects is a plus.
  12. Ability to work at the project location and/or frequent travel is required.
