What You'll Do

We’re excited to offer a dynamic opportunity for a talented Quality Manager to join our growing Aviation Regulatory Compliance team! This role is fully remote, allowing you to contribute from anywhere in the United States.

Viasat's Aviation Regulatory Compliance team ensures adherence to FAA, EASA, CAAC, TC, and other global agency requirements for both new and used parts. You will support operations at multiple Viasat line maintenance sites across the U.S., collaborating with line maintenance managers, technicians, customers, and regulatory authorities. Your expertise will help maintain Viasat's repair station certification.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with Viasat's Quality System Manual and aviation regulations.
  • Support and resolve regulatory issues as a primary contact.
  • Manage audit schedules and conduct comprehensive audits.
  • Perform root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead audits for customers and regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with Viasat’s Line Maintenance teams across various locations.
  • Maintain Part 145 Repair Station regulatory requirements to uphold FAA certification.
What You'll Need
  • 7+ years of experience in quality management.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience leading internal and external audits (regulatory and customer).
  • Proven ability to lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Strong understanding of 14 CFR part 145 and Drug & Alcohol program requirements.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, organization, and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, and influence skills.
  • Ability to present findings and generate compliance guidelines.
  • Motivated team player in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple geographical areas.
  • Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically.
  • US citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a Quality or Accountable Manager at an MRO or Part 145 Repair Station.
  • Current or previous certification as an A&P mechanic or Repairman.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 standards.
  • Experience training teams on FAA regulations.
  • Support line maintenance for airlines.
  • Knowledge of Commercial In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity systems.
Salary Range

$104,000 - $164,500 annually. For specific locations within San Jose, the Bay Area, and NYC, the range is $129,000 - $194,000 annually. Compensation varies based on experience and background. Additional incentives and benefits are available. Learn more at Viasat Benefits.
