Job summary

SSOE Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large multidisciplinary architectural projects from concept to completion in our Birmingham, AL practice. You will guide strategy, drive execution, manage client relationships, and oversee budgets to ensure successful outcomes.

The role emphasizes leadership of teams across disciplines, collaboration with engineers and consultants, and proactive business development to foster long-term client partnerships and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Masters in Architecture or equivalent experience.
• PMP Certification within one year for external hires, at time of promotion for internal.
• Ten years in design with at least five years as a Project Manager.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multi-discipline projects and oversee discipline captains.
• Be accountable for project timetable and financial success.
• Prepare budget, plan, and control procedures; monitor progress.
• Lead client meetings, proposals, and contract negotiations with input from PIC.
• Manage outside consultants and regulatory agency interfaces.
• Assist in training other PMs and participate in business development.
