Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic Architecture team in Philadelphia! In this leadership role, you’ll guide complex, large‑scale projects from concept through completion, overseeing scope, schedule, quality, and budget while mentoring and directing a team of talented professionals—including other Project Managers. You’ll play a key role in ensuring project success while helping the department, division, and company achieve financial and strategic goals.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare effective work plans and labor budgets for approval by Department Manager.
  • Monitor time schedules and capital cost budgets on projects to satisfy the client as well as control work and productivity.
  • Identify the project team, work packages and tasks, evaluation methods, productivity targets, schedule of deliverables and labor hours required on projects.
  • Responsible for the quality control/quality assurance process on all assigned projects.
  • Oversee the work and productivity on assigned projects.
  • Strive to achieve predetermined goals for profit, productivity targets, schedule of events and an estimation of staff requirements as necessary.
  • Negotiate with clients on any scope changes relative to project budgets and schedules subject to supervisors’ approval.
  • Review monthly labor and cost reports to ensure projects are being completed at the predetermined profit goal.
  • Ensure everyone involved is working in accordance with all project planning and profit control procedures.
  • Ensure that all budgets affecting the project schedule and/or fee budget are discussed with the client.
  • Solicit help and involvement from Department Managers and any other managers to troubleshoot any technical problems.
  • Mentor junior staff in learning sound technical and business practices and enhancing corporate objectives.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety program and all applicable SOPs.
  • Review timesheets of direct reports during a specified reporting period.
  • Evaluate Employee Performance in accordance with company policy.
  • May oversee the activities of assigned staff, including but not limited to timesheet review and approval, performance evaluation and daily supervision.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Architecture or equivalent work experience as required to maintain licensed architect status.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience.
  • Previous use and understanding of AutoCAD and Revit design software with the ability to produce preliminary and schematic designs in AutoCAD at a minimum, but Revit is desired.
  • Previous business development and project management experience preferred in planning and executing design/construction projects.
  • Ability to work in close collaboration with other managers and leadership, clients, in‑house and outside consultants.
  • Client facing experience.
  • Ability to work primarily independently.
  • Willing to travel occasionally to client sites and meetings.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job‑related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
