Structor Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead commercial and healthcare construction initiatives in a dynamic, occupied environment. You will drive planning, execution, and closeout for complex projects, leveraging strong leadership to manage teams, budgets, schedules, and client relationships.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and collaboration with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to deliver project outcomes that meet scope, time, and budget requirements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• 3+ years of healthcare construction experience preferred.
• Experience leading and mentoring project staff.
• Strong knowledge of project financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability.
• Ability to manage multiple projects or project teams simultaneously.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and contracts.
• Experience with Procore is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Timberline Project Management and Timberline/Destini Estimating preferred.

Job description

The Senior Project Manager is a key leader within Structor Group’s commercial construction team, responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and completion of complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This position will have a strong focus on healthcare construction, including projects performed within active and occupied healthcare environments. The Senior Project Manager provides leadership and oversight to project teams while maintaining responsibility for project financial performance, scheduling, quality, safety, client satisfaction, and risk management. This role works closely with clients, healthcare facility representatives, architects, engineers, subcontractors, field leadership, and executive management to drive operational excellence and uphold Structor Group’s mission, vision, and values.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee multiple project management teams across assigned commercial and healthcare construction projects.
• Hire, train, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other project staff.
• Regularly review project team performance and provide coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.
• Maintain financial responsibility for assigned projects, including revenue, profitability, forecasting, and overall project performance.
• Prepare and review project financial forecasts, budgets, cost projections, and schedules.
• Identify project risks and lead teams in developing effective solutions and mitigation strategies.
• Oversee project planning and execution from preconstruction through closeout.
• Review project meeting agendas, owner pay applications, subcontractor pay applications, and other key project documentation.
• Review and approve owner and subcontractor change requests and change orders.
• Review subcontractor scopes and buyout opportunities prior to subcontract award.
• Oversee bidding and preconstruction efforts for key project opportunities.
• Partner with Superintendents and field leadership to ensure projects meet schedule, quality, and safety expectations.
• Ensure compliance with Structor Group safety standards and applicable jobsite requirements.
• Oversee healthcare-specific construction requirements, including infection control, ICRA, ILSM, shutdown coordination, phasing, and work within occupied healthcare environments, as applicable.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen existing client relationships and support future business development.
• Ensure project teams effectively utilize available construction technology and project management systems.
• Maintain transparent and timely communication with the Project Executive and executive leadership regarding project performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Promote Structor Group’s culture, values, and commitment to quality throughout all projects and teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial construction project management experience required.
• 3+ years of healthcare construction experience preferred, including renovations, expansions, or construction within active and occupied healthcare facilities.
• Demonstrated experience successfully managing large, complex commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Experience leading and mentoring Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other project staff.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or project teams simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of project financial management, including budgeting, cost projections, forecasting, profitability, and change management.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong client relationships and identify future project opportunities.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and other project documents.
• Knowledge of healthcare construction requirements, including ICRA, ILSM, infection control, shutdown coordination, phasing, and occupied-facility construction, preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project scheduling software.
• Experience with Procore strongly preferred.
• Experience with Timberline Project Management and Timberline and/or Destini Estimating preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

This position operates in both office and active construction-site environments. The role requires regular communication and coordination with clients, project teams, subcontractors, field personnel, and company leadership and may require travel to assigned project sites.

The employee must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to sit for extended periods, operate a computer, communicate in person and by telephone, walk active construction sites, and occasionally lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Because this position may support projects within active healthcare facilities, employees may be required to comply with site-specific health, safety, access, vaccination, testing, or other facility requirements, as applicable.
