Role Description

As a Senior Project Manager at Mark Turner Construction, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex construction projects from inception through completion. This full-time, on-site role in Richmond, VA includes managing project schedules and budgets, coordinating subcontractors and vendors, and ensuring materials and equipment are ordered, expedited, and delivered on time. You will lead project teams, facilitate communication among owners, architects, engineers, and field staff, and monitor quality, safety, and compliance with all applicable codes and standards. Daily responsibilities also include reviewing inspections, resolving issues in the field, maintaining accurate project documentation, and reporting progress to senior leadership and clients.

Qualifications

• Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination.
• Expeditor and Expediting capabilities to manage material orders, delivery timelines, and vendor follow-up.
• Inspection experience to verify work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to plans and specifications.
• Logistics Management skills to oversee site logistics, material handling, and workflow optimization.
• Several years of progressive experience managing commercial or institutional construction projects.
• Proficiency with project management software and construction documentation tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of commercial construction project management experience required.Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices; PMP or similar certification is a plus.
