This is an opportunity to join an established contractor with more than 45 years of experience delivering commercial construction projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic. The company has built a strong reputation for its design-build capabilities, repeat client relationships, and ability to successfully execute complex projects.
With a strong backlog throughout the Greater Philadelphia region, this role offers exposure to technically challenging projects and the opportunity to work alongside an experienced project management team while continuing to grow into a Project Manager role.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers throughout all phases of construction from preconstruction through project closeout.
- Assist with subcontractor coordination, procurement, scheduling, budgeting, and project documentation.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and other project correspondence.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to ensure work aligns with contract requirements.
- Assist with subcontractor buyout and scope review.
- Track project costs, commitments, change orders, and overall budget performance.
- Coordinate with Superintendents and field teams to help maintain project schedules and resolve construction issues.
- Communicate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
- Participate in project meetings and assist with documenting action items and follow-up.
- Support quality control, safety, and overall project execution.
- Assist with punch lists, closeout documentation, and final project turnover.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of commercial construction experience with a General Contractor preferred.
- Previous experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar project management role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with industrial, warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, life sciences, or other complex commercial projects is a plus.
- Ground-up and/or renovation construction experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Familiarity with project scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and procurement.
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with both project management and field teams.
- Motivated to grow professionally and take on increasing project responsibility.
