Job summary

Green Key Resources has partnered with a well-established Commercial General Contractor in the Greater Philadelphia market seeking an experienced Superintendent. This role oversees all field operations from start to closeout, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget compliance while coordinating with PMs, owners, architects, and subcontractors.

Applicants should have 5+ years with a GC, expertise in ground-up or renovation projects, and be proficient with construction software like Procore or

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a Commercial General Contractor.
• Experience managing ground-up and/or renovation commercial construction projects.
• Experience overseeing Healthcare, Life Sciences, Higher Education, Multifamily, Mixed-Use, Hospitality, Corporate, or Industrial projects preferred.
• Strong reading of construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Develop and maintain project schedules while ensuring milestone completion.
• Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies on the jobsite.
• Monitor quality control and ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Conduct daily site meetings and coordinate activities with project teams.
• Identify and resolve field issues to minimize delays and maintain project momentum.
• Communicate regularly with project managers, owners, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
• Maintain project documentation, including daily reports, inspections, and punch lists.
• Lead project closeout activities and ensure a successful turnover to ownership.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience overseeing one or more of the following project types preferred: Healthcare, Life Sciences, Higher Education, Multifamily, Mixed-Use, Hospitality, Corporate, or Industrial.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and field operations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors while maintaining safety, quality, and schedule expectations.
