Job summary

BlackRock Resources, LLC in Newport News, VA is seeking a Senior Project Manager - Mechanical Contracting to lead large revenue HVAC projects onsite. You will direct teams, ensure quality, and drive project success from design through closeout.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of project management experience in HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical piping.
• Well-rounded construction experience in plumbing/piping, sheet metal, prefabrication, and HVAC projects.
• Experience working with general contractors, owners, and mechanical subcontractors.
• Understanding of the HVAC commissioning process.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) preferred.

• Negotiate fair, profitable project cost and design with owners, engineers, and general contractors
• Perform design calculations and prepare equipment/material specifications leading to construction documents
• Coordinate the work of general contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, and designers to meet project requirements
• Monitor project labor and material budgets; support startup, troubleshooting, and punch list closeout
