Job summary

BlackRock Resources, LLC seeks a Project Manager – Mechanical Contracting in Newport News, VA for onsite direct hire. You will oversee projects from award through client acceptance, with full P&L responsibility and strong scheduling, budgeting, and communication.

Responsibilities include commissioning, change orders, coordinating with general contractors and inspectors, and serving as the primary contact for owners and contractors.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in mechanical contracting project management.
• Experience managing projects in the $8–$12 million range with above-average performance.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills; ability to work without direct supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Project, Excel, Word).

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee assigned projects from award through final client acceptance, with full profit/loss responsibility
• Coordinate scheduling with general contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, and designers to meet project timelines
• Manage project labor, subcontracted work, and materials budgets, updating cost forecasts monthly
• Lead commissioning planning and execution, and estimate/manage change orders through approval
