Job summary

GH Engage is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead HVAC and plumbing projects from preconstruction through closeout in the New York area. You will own budgets, schedules, quality, safety and profitability while coordinating with clients and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of construction project management experience with a strong background in commercial mechanical contracting, plus a degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction project management experience.
• Strong background with a commercial mechanical contractor.
• Knowledge of budgeting, job costing, forecasting and cost control.
• Experience managing field labor, subcontractors and procurement.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, contracts and project schedules.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial HVAC and plumbing projects from planning through commissioning and closeout.
• Take ownership of project budgets, schedules, quality, safety and profitability.
• Review contracts, estimates, drawings and specifications to establish project scope.
• Monitor job costs, forecasts, labor productivity and cost-to-complete reporting.
• Manage field teams, subcontractors, procurement and equipment releases.
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation.
• Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, clients, vendors and internal departments.
• Identify project risks and resolve issues before they affect delivery.
• Lead project meetings and provide clear reporting to senior management.
• Build lasting relationships with general contractors, owners and project partners.
