Jobot is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Maryland to lead complex engineering projects from inception to close. You will develop plans, manage budgets, and coordinate with clients and contractors to ensure timely delivery and quality adherence.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering or related field, with 5+ years in project management within engineering and strong leadership, communication, and budget skills.

Job Details

Senior Project Manager - $150K Range

Salary: $145,000 - $155,000 per year

Employment type: permanent, full-time

Responsibilities

• 1. Manage and supervise complex engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.


• 2. Develop comprehensive project plans, detailing project schedules, resource allocation, and potential risks.


• 3. Oversee all project submittals, ensuring they are completed accurately and on time.


• 4. Develop and manage project budgets, continually monitoring costs and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.


• 5. Lead and manage project teams, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting open communication.


• 6. Regularly liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, providing project updates and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.


• 7. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards.


• 8. Evaluate project performance upon completion, identifying key learnings and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

• 1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.


• 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the engineering industry, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.


• 3. Extensive experience managing project budgets and overseeing submittals.


• 4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.


• 5. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make decisions under pressure.


• 6. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.


• 7. Proficiency in project management software tools.


• 8. Knowledge of relevant regulations and quality standards within the engineering industry.
