Working closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and senior leadership, the Senior Project Manager plays a critical role in supporting operationalexcellence, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to continuous improvement and business development efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and consultants to align objectives, manage expectations, and ensure project requirements are met.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, tracking milestones, deliverables, and financials to identify variances and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Oversee contract administration, permitting, and regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Lead project meetings, facilitate decision-making, and maintain clear, organized documentation and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, mentoring junior staff and promoting best practices in project execution and team collaboration.
  • Support business development activities including proposal development, scope definition, and client presentations.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements to project management processes, tools, and workflows.
  • Act as the main point of contact for escalated issues, proactively resolving conflicts to ensure project continuity and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or PMP certification preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive project management experience, preferably within engineering, environmental, or construction industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex, and high-impact projects in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • In-depth knowledge of project planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience managing project financials, contracts, and vendor relationships.
  • Ability to travel to job sites and regional offices as needed.
  • Self-directed, highly organized, and capable of managing competing priorities in a matrixed or decentralized organization.
