Job summary

International Erosion Control Association in Harlingen, Texas, seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead a major mission-critical data center. Lead the Team Building the Infrastructure That Powers Our Future

A multi-billion-dollar mechanical contracting firm is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its Senior Management Team on a major mission-critical data center project in Harlingen, Texas.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior mechanical construction professional to take a leadership role in delivering a highly technical, state-of-the-art data center. The project will require sophisticated HVAC, piping, and pipefitting systems, along with exceptional coordination across all project stakeholders.

The Opportunity

The Senior Project Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with the Senior Management Team, project leadership, field operations, the client, design teams, general contractor, and key trade partners.

This position will have significant responsibility for project performance, financial management, schedule, risk mitigation, team leadership, and stakeholder management.

The ideal candidate is a proven leader who understands how to manage complex mechanical construction projects while building strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide senior-level leadership and oversight for a major mission-critical data center project
  • Lead project strategy, execution, financial performance, and overall project delivery
  • Partner with the Senior Management Team to establish project objectives and ensure alignment with company goals
  • Drive stakeholder management across owners, developers, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal leadership
  • Manage project budgets, forecasting, change management, procurement, contracts, and financial performance
  • Lead project teams and develop high-performing project management professionals
  • Coordinate complex HVAC, piping, pipefitting, and mechanical systems
  • Identify project risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies
  • Maintain accountability for schedule, quality, safety, and contractual obligations
  • Participate in executive-level project meetings and client presentations
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key project stakeholders
  • Ensure successful coordination between project management, estimating, BIM/VDC, procurement, and field operations
What We're Looking For
  • Significant experience managing large-scale mechanical construction projects
  • Strong background in HVAC, piping, and pipefitting
  • Proven experience leading complex projects from preconstruction through completion
  • Mission-critical, data center, semiconductor, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other highly technical construction experience preferred
  • Demonstrated financial and operational management experience
  • Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling, contracts, and change management
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate effectively with both field-level teams and executive Senior Management
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred
