Job description

Agility Partners is seeking a qualified IT Project Manager to fill an open position with one of our leading energy and utility clients. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven project leader to manage large-scale IT initiatives that directly support critical business and technology transformation efforts. The ideal candidate brings strong project delivery experience across both IT and business teams, along with the ability to drive results, manage stakeholders, and keep complex initiatives moving forward. This role is a great fit for someone who is a self-starter, go-getter, and strong communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead large, complex IT projects from planning through execution, ensuring alignment to scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, critical path, and status reporting while providing visibility to leadership and stakeholders
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across IT and business units, driving collaboration and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones and deliverables
  • Develop project estimates, forecasts, documentation, and action plans while overseeing performance, cost management, and resource planning throughout the project lifecycle
The ideal candidate will have:
  • 5–10+ years of experience in project management, leading large-scale IT and business initiatives across cross-functional teams
  • Strong knowledge of project management best practices, including Waterfall, Agile, and SDLC methodologies
  • Experience with project budgeting, cost management, forecasting, and resource capacity planning
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders and executive sponsors, communicate project impacts clearly, and lead diverse teams through project delivery
  • Strong business process analysis, process mapping, and documentation skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear plans and visuals
  • Experience with change management, issue/risk management, and tools used to track project delivery, timelines, and performance metrics
Pluses / Preferred Skills
  • PMP certification
  • Agile certification such as PSM or PSPO
  • ITIL v3 or ITIL v4 experience/certification
  • Familiarity with the energy industry
