JOB DETAILS

The Senior Project Manager plays a critical role in leading and overseeing the successful execution of large-scale, complex software development projects. This position extends beyond standard Agile project management responsibilities, requiring strategic vision, technical expertise, and leadership in optimizing processes, client management, mitigating risks, and ensuring project success. As a key member of the project’s leadership team, the Senior Technical Project Manager is responsible for aligning project outcomes with business objectives, fostering a high-performance culture, and driving continuous improvement within Troy Web Consulting.

The Senior Project Manager will be expected to participate in activities beyond those of a standard Project Manager. Responsibilities extend to executive-level decision-making, strategic planning, process optimization, client management, and technical leadership. You are expected to align with our core values at all times and foster a high level of professionalism and accountability across the team.

What’s the difference between a technical project manager and a project manager? TheSenior Project Manager not only manages timelines, budgets, and teams like a project manager (PM) but also has a strong technical background, allowing them to deeply understand the software development process, assess technical risks, and communicate effectively with engineers. A project manager focuses more on coordination, stakeholder communication, and ensuring the project meets business goals, often relying on technical leads for detailed technical guidance.
