Payne Tompkins is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Chardon, Ohio to oversee multiple remodeling projects. The role demands maintaining timelines, budget adherence, and quality standards while ensuring an excellent client experience.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong customer service skills, have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and possess a deep understanding of residential construction, along with leadership abilities to mentor junior team members.
The Senior Project Manager will oversee multiple remodeling projects, maintain timeline, budget, and quality standards. The role involves daily interaction with teammates, homeowners, and trade partners to complete projects on time and within budget. You are on the front lines of ensuring our clients have the very best experience while bringing their project to life. They own all job-related communication with trade partners and clients. By visiting jobsites daily, they keep a pulse on the status of the job and identify delays/issues proactively. They will utilize the support of an Assistant Project Manager as needed on their jobs while also occasionally assisting other Project Managers with other projects. A Senior Project Manager possesses leadership skills and responsibilities and is an active part in growing the junior members of the team.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Bachelor's Degree in related field or 4-6 years of relevant experience
2+ years of construction experience, in the field preferred
Ability and capacity to train junior team members
Deep understanding of all aspects of residential construction, including complex structural challenges and a wide range of building materials.
Strong customer service skills
Deep understanding of core values with the ability infuse those within the field
Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, in a professional manner
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and pass a background check
Ability to work independently and maintain a consistent 40-hour workweek
Perform physical labor
Proficient in Microsoft programs and construction software, i.e. Buildertrend (or ability to learn it quickly)
Skilled at creating and maintaining daily logs and organizing paperwork for multiple projects at a time
Ability to adjust and be flexible to sudden demands with a "go above & beyond" attitude
Strong problem-solving skills
Highly organized
Accurate hour logging for job-related time is being kept daily.
