Job summary

Sonova's Advanced Bionics unit seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead mid-to-large medical device projects. You will own plans, manage scope, timelines, and budget while maintaining quality and regulatory compliance. This role coordinates across R&D, Operations, Quality, and Legal to ensure on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in medical device project management, PMP/SCM exposure, and strong communication skills. Hybrid work in Valencia, CA with up to 20% travel is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• PM Certification preferred; Scrum Master nice to have.
• 6+ years in project management for medical devices (class 3).

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans with scope and timelines.
• Implement risk management processes and ensure objectives are met.
• Provide regular status and financial updates and align with priorities.
• Coordinate with R&D, Operations, Quality, and Legal for deliverables.
• Manage multiple workstreams and resolve issues promptly.
• Drive process improvements and coach teams on best practices.
• Communicate with sponsors and stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.

The Senior Project Manager role at Advanced Bionics is a key leadership role responsible for driving the successful execution of medium to large-scale projects, with a focus on product changeprojects,that are critical to organizational success. This position ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget whilemaintainingcompliance with quality and regulatory standards. Acting asa central pointof coordination across multiple departments, the Senior Project Manager fosters collaboration, mitigates risks, and champions process improvements. By combining strategic oversight with hands‑on project management, this role supports business priorities, enhances operational efficiency, and contributes to long‑term growth and innovation.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

Developand managecomprehensiveprojectplans,includingscope,timelines,resourceallocation, andcontingencystrategies.

Implement robustriskmanagementprocessesandensureadherencetoprojectobjectivesandsuccesscriteria.

Provideregularstatusupdates,financialperformancereports, andensurealignmentwithbusinesspriorities.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

Act as theprimaryliaisonbetweenprojectteamsandstakeholdersacrossdepartmentssuch as R&D,Operations, Quality, and Legal.

Facilitatecollaborationtoensuredeliverablesmeetqualitystandardsandprojectrequirements.

Workstream Management:

Overseemultipleprojectworkstreams, monitorprogress,identifyissues, andresolveconflictspromptly.

Evaluatetrade-offsbetweenscope,complexity, andcosttomaintainprojectintegrity.

Process Improvement:

Drivecontinuousimprovementinprojectmanagementpractices,includingstandardizationofworkflowsanddocumentation.

Promotebestpracticesandcoachteamstoenhanceefficiencyandeffectiveness.

Stakeholder Communication:

Maintaintransparent andproactivecommunicationwithsponsorsandkeystakeholdersthroughouttheprojectlifecycle.

This role's pay range isbetween:$114,400-$143,000. This role is alsobonus eligible.
