State Fund’s Project Management Office has immediate openings for Senior Project Managers (Staff Services Manager III or II). Manage multiple complex projects, ensuring deliverables are met on schedule, within budget, and scope. Provide project leadership in a matrix environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a matrix project team across multiple strategic projects.
• Prioritize tasks based on project requirements and deadlines.
• Apply various project management methodologies (waterfall, agile, hybrid) and system development lifecycles.
• Utilize project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, ADO).
• Analyze and resolve technical issues.
• Evaluate options, recommend solutions, and drive execution.
• Negotiate with stakeholders for project support.
• Understand State Fund’s business and strategic goals.

Desired Qualifications:

• 5+ years of documented project management experience.
• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar agile certification (e.g., CSPO).
• Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Understanding of State Fund’s business and strategic objectives.

Note: New state candidates will be hired at the minimum salary or an applicable alternate range based on education and experience.

Working Conditions

The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment. In-person onboarding at Vacaville may be required, with expenses paid by State Fund.
