Job summary

Dewberry is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Site Civil department in the Birmingham, Alabama office. You will lead design teams on site civil land development projects for private and public sector clients, including energy, commercial, residential, higher education and industrial sites.

Responsibilities include managing scope, budgets, and schedules; reviewing calculations and reports; sustaining client relationships and marketing for new services; and coordinating

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering is required.
• Alabama Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
• 10+ years of progressive site civil land development design/construction experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Experience with higher education and/or energy market is a plus.
• Proficient with AutoCAD or MicroStation and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with WaterGems, SewerGems, ICPR.

• Model utilities and drainage systems for projects.
• Review calculations, reports, and spreadsheets for quality and accuracy.
• Manage client relationships and assist in marketing for new services.

• Ensure projects progress from conception to construction completion; attend field meetings.

Responsibilities

• Senior Project Manager responsible for collaborating and managing design teams in all aspects of a given project including stormwater, grading and full utilities design to develop detailed construction plans.
• Master of modeling of both utilities and drainage systems.
• Responsible to review and oversee all associated calculations, reports and spreadsheets.
• Senior Project Manager responsible for client relationship management and marketing for new services.
• Responsible to prepare scope and fee determinations for proposed engineering services.
• Effectively manage projects from conception through construction completion.
• Attend field meetings with contractors and clients.

Required Skills & Required Experience

• B.S. in Civil Engineering is required.
• Alabama PE required.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in the design and construction of land development projects.
• Must have excellentwritten and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work and thrive in ateam environment.
• Background in the higher education and/or energy market is a plus.
• Ability to effectively work and interact with clients, maintain project budgets and schedules.
• Ability to provide technical expertise to design team.
• Experience with AutoCADor Microstation and Microsoft office is required.
• Experience and proficient with WaterGems, Sewer Gems, andICPR.
