Job summary

Georgia Power in Atlanta, GA seeks a Supervising Project Manager to lead and direct Assistant and Project Managers on transmission line and substation capital construction projects. You will oversee statewide teams and collaborate with PMO leadership and partners to meet safety, budget, and schedule objectives.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s in engineering, 5+ years supervisory experience in electric utilities, and familiarity with STOMP, TEAMS, and Maximo. A PE/PMP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Formal supervisory experience with performance management responsibilities is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years combined experience in electric utility areas such as Transmission Planning, Design/Engineering, Construction, Maintenance, Operations or Power Delivery Project Management.
• Ability to manage internal and external relationships and budgets.
• Knowledge of project management principles including the Gated Process.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for APMs and PMs on capital construction projects.
• Oversee statewide project management teams within Special Projects.
• Collaborate with PMO Leadership and internal/external partners to meet objectives.
• Ensure adherence to schedules, budgets, safety and regulatory requirements.
